Description

The work will pause after a few seconds; showing my name; also using this time for the preview-snapshot. Then it will continue again. You can kinda can scratch the image with the mouse.

Lil background In 1993 I started to program interactive animation, that I used as a VJ at parties, and for some video-clips. I called it 'Zabber-verf' back then; and was written in C on the Amiga.

Around 1999 I started to (re)make these animations in Java, and called the project ZabZero.

I took a part of these animations; and used them for minimalistic web-art competition in just 4096 bytes <web4096> (run by Satori / Zden) back in 2000, and I called it ZabK5. Also rewrote 'Zab0' as 'Zab0Four' in 2004, this time in processing for Doran Golan. He collected early net/web-art for the computer finearts collection (computerfinearts.com)

Rewrote it just a bit for FXhash, this time in vanilla Javascript, so the interwebs can enjoy it again! Just the horizontal-vertical scroller part, this time.

I love fast animation, and also the construction and deconstruction of the image. If it goes fast; it almost seems it reacts to the music. This type of animation I used a lot as kind of noise; that always seem to mix real nice with other animations.
