Arrogant Kei is a digital artist based in Atlanta, Georgia, who builds surreal 3D scenes of ethereal figures and cosmic environments to give shape to emotions such as love, identity and self-reflection.Born in Trinidad and raised between Brooklyn, New York and Atlanta, he blends classical influences, including Greco-Roman sculpture and angelic imagery, with digital tools to explore spirituality and the expansion of consciousness.,
Born in Trinidad, he was raised between Brooklyn, New York and Atlanta, and this multicultural upbringing informs a visual language blending the surreal, the celestial and the personal. His work often draws on Greco-Roman sculpture and angelic imagery, which he has said first drew him to art, and he has cited the artist Hajime Soroyama as an influence on bringing those classical elements into the digital age.
His pieces begin as a 3D model built in Cinema 4D, which he colors and textures in Photoshop and supplements with hand-drawn elements made in Procreate. He has described Take Me With You as the piece most personally meaningful to him, made after the death of a family member. He has said Take My Hand resonated most with viewers, who have told him it helped them cope with breakups and loss.
His work has been exhibited digitally and physically in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and Dubai. Highlights include the 2022 solo exhibition “Soul On Display” and a 2024 presentation at Art Basel Miami with Trippy Labs.
In March 2024, he released The Palms Collection, his first full-length project, launched through Transient Labs' Stacks format. The 333-piece collection depicts hand-crafted, 3D-illustrated palms of varying rarity, using hands to represent a range of human emotions, and includes collaborations with other artists.
