Features:

Movement probabilities: The direction of each ziggurat's motion is determined by four values of varying probabilities. This also gives rise to the notion of 'speed variability', related to the range of movement speeds available.

Population: The number of ziggurats, with lower numbers less likely.

Hue: A slight tint prevents full monochromaticity, except in a small, rare number of cases.

Rotation: There is a very small chance that the ziggurats will display some rotational motion.

Layers: Each ziggurat has the same number of layers as its neighbours, which is selected here.
