GAWD 0287 – FVCK THAT SHIT, RED & BLACK COLORWAY

FVCK THAT SHIT is the first release in GAWD’s ‘Words of Wisdom’ collection, a series of work exploring the lexicon of words, unexpressed feelings, and self-talk we use to express or repress our own and other’s voice(s) in today’s modern society.

3600x5400 (2:3), 32 bit, 300 dpi, PNG file, 12.8 MB

Offered as a collection of CC0 work, each piece is being released as a 1/1 work of art, each in a unique colorway. All ‘Words of Wisdom’ art is designed in 2:3 format at a high enough resolution to print as 24”x36” posters (an architectural blueprint format that can easily be printed at any local office supply or print shop) for one’s own enjoyment, adaptation, wheatpaste post up, or for use in protest.

This 1/1 NFT is the only original artwork, minted exclusively on the Tezos blockchain using the Objkt platform. © Copyright GAWD, 2024. No Rights Reserved (CC0). Future analog print editions may be made available at the artist’s discretion. Any trademarks are the property of their respective owners and their appearance does not imply endorsement.

GAWD grew up influenced by the artwork of Haring, Warhol, Kruger, Wool and the politics of punk/hardcore music. With roots creating graffiti in the late 1990s followed by time shaping the Lowbrow Art movement, GAWD’s evocative work brings the street to the studio (and now the blockchain) through paint, typography, pop imagery, and punk sensibility. This is coupled with an activist streak of rebellion and dissent in the fight for our individual rights and freedoms against the fascist forces of our world.

In 2023, GAWD became the first artist in the world to begin releasing new work simultaneously across platforms as multi-chain timed editions (Objkt/Tezos, Foundation/Ethereum, and Exchange/Solana), allowing collectors to acquire new work on the blockchain of their choice.

A self-described “Pop Punk Artist” GAWD's repurposing of highbrow fashion, luxury, and images of power colliding with snarky lowbrow typography fuels bold, brash social commentary with a nihilistic bent. Each work challenges us to question ourselves, the world around us, and our place in it.
