This is me, seated in light, with eagle-like wings. The battle with the crows granted me these wings—symbols of strength, release, and ascent. I did not receive them easily; they came in exchange for silence in the face of the world’s injustices. Those injustices, like black crows, have now been left behind. They represent whispers, judgments, and bitterness—forces that no longer belong on my path. Our world is divided between two opposing realms: darkness and light, which reflect two stages of living—confrontation with pain, and the passage toward inner truth. Created with colored pencil and oil glaze on cardboard, this painting affirms my presence amid those oppositions. I stand at the threshold of silence newly born, bathed in the light that has emerged from darkness.
