Our dark side is as valuable as our light side. The shadow lies in the unconscious and consists of undesirable characteristics they we have repressed and want to keep in the dark. Many people aren’t even aware they they have a shadow. We should not only become aware of our dark side, we should incorporate it in our conscious personality as well. Striving after perfection is like chasing after wind, and far from making us better people, it in fact greatly hinders our development. The more we srtive for perfection, the further we fuel our dark side and lose control of how it manifests itself in our day to day actions, sinking to the bottom of an unconscious and therefore uncontrollable life.
