Water is the lifeblood of our world. Travelling by land, sea, and air, water knows no bounds. Flowing through our world, water moves from solid to liquid to gas with ease, changing form to fit its environment, thus flowing through life itself. This piece demonstrates this power: snow, fog, and rain.
This is a special piece for me, as it began on my birthday. Each year on this day, whether in Canada or shooting abroad, instead of fancy lunches or pub nights, I head into the wilderness alone. It's a perfect place to reflect on my year and where I'm going. In March 2020, I set out to the North Shore Mountains outside Vancouver on a rainy, peaceful morning to watch the fog roll through its deep valleys. I wasn't disappointed, spending the day shooting and filming the ebbs and flows of the mountain weather system. I returned home satiated, with one particular piece that especially blew me away.
