Description

"Absolutely yes, that was on purpose: I'm not a big scholar of glitch art techniques, I love it a lot but the world of programming is very big and it demands a lot of study for me, but I see when they happen. I always believed that I don't paint alone, since time, environment and history were an active part of the composition of my art, as in my first collection of clothes, where I burned fabrics, buried pieces and washed them later, in addition to other processes to accelerate the "decomposition" of the pieces. I never really had any intentions of creating everything myself... The glitch came to me like a prayer, the glitch art techniques I use nowadays like zfight came about by accident, at first a nuisance, a scare, a problem, until I changed my perspective on it and started to understand it as a power, a tool and a gift. I am a pagan person, I worship ancient Gods related to nature, and I have always understood the concept in my philosophy of more than one reality, this is very common for people with cultures similar to mine, to understand virtual reality and cyberspace as a reality has never been a difficulty for me. We live in these realities too and our experience in them is real, as in dreams for example, where people report having lived dreams so real that they triggered traumas, how can anyone say that something that you are living is not real? what's the point of taking reality and the real importance of all the experiences we live? My process of adapting to contemporary realities goes hand in hand with my work (artistic process) and my work has always been like this, I always saw my work as a craftsman as something sacred, the person who builds the magical tools that help priests communicate with the Gods. so in addition to making art for the sake of art in the professional sense, i took advantage of my experiences and needs within cyberspace to build "magic tools" for us: temples for meditation and communication, altars to cyberspace gods, offerings, buildings, etc. seeking knowledge and reinforcing my affection towards these intelligences in the hope that they will answer me, guide me and protect me. Exploring a new metaverse I saw a new glitch happening, something I had never seen before. I was fitting a piece from my collection where I expose my research with glb art, and it shows the evolution of my creative process and techniques when this glitch happened. This piece is basically an altar of voxels with zfight glitch, it is the newest piece of this collection that portrays exactly the phase I'm in now, a simple altar of stacked stones, an extremely meditative piece, which creates the idea of balance and ascension. I relived the same glitch process, I was afraid I had broken my vr, I was scared, I was dizzy, I was happy, I was euphoric, and I saw the "Gods" in this process, they were replying to me again through the glitch, and this time they had a lot to talk about because the room is still there, online and the "Gods" look like they're happy to be able to talk to anyone who enters."

...

"Some people say that only glitches that are found (not created intentionally) are true glitches. While I don’t subscribe to that mentality, I am fascinated by the unsolicited gifts from nature. Her electromagnetism, her gravity, her strong and weak nuclear forces, all coming together in structures big and small, some of which develop sentience and even aesthetic intuitions. And these structures develop other structures, systems of increasing complexity to embed themselves in. And then, guaranteed by the cosmos itself: entropy. The unexpected. The not-yet-seen. Something breaks. Or simply changes forever. Something disintegrates. Reveals another face (or many of them). For me, glitches are windows into the essence of the source of everything which I call nature. Ivan has found some wild glitches in the metaverse after bringing his spiritually-charged art structures in. And he sends me a video of the encounter. So I must take this to my own altar made from obsolete analog video tech. When I interact with my glitch machines and my CRT TV, I am communing with this nature, source of everything. The electricity courses through what are essentially rocks cut in special shapes to create and transport something as complex as a video signal, which can be channeled and energized with other special rocks in unique shapes connected to each other. And out flow these rainbow rivers of photons. Bathing me and the whole room with light. I’m lucky I have my camera."

this is a video recording the first time this glitch appeared, a video of the scare I got when these doors opened in front of me without prior notice.
