Velatura, a series, extends a post-photographic practice toward painting. Worked by hand through successive translucent layers, each image moves away from its source without abandoning it. The photograph remains, altered, absorbed into colour. The work occupies the threshold where light becomes pigment, where the recorded gives way to the made.
