Created as part of a series to illustrate some of the symptoms of mental illness, this piece came together in three main parts: the first was using Procreate to digitally paint a character. From there, I put that single digital painting into motion-capture software with facial markers, and used my own face to animate the expressions. The third step was adding music that would compliment the visual work. I used various audio samples that I mixed together, along with my own vocal and sound recordings. The final product is meant to remind us that perhaps these characters are both strangers and reflections.
