Description
Fritillaria imperialis, known as the Crown Imperial, is a remarkable mountain flower native to Iran's Zagros range and other cold highland regions. Blooming in early spring, it is recognized by its drooping bell-shaped flowers and distinctive crown of green leaves. It thrives at elevations between 1,200 and 3,000 meters in moist mountainous habitats. Due to habitat loss and overharvesting, many natural populations are now protected. The flower is considered a symbol of Iran's natural beauty and mountain biodiversity.
