The poisonous mushrooms of Sogoko Town are powerful, rare, and highly lethal. Citizens enthralled to the smell they emanate find themselves forced to consume them in very small doses at a time. This makes them immune to poison but totally slaves to the will of the mushrooms themselves.

The main activity of the citizens of Sogoko, in fact, is to prepare extracts of these mushrooms which are subsequently sold on the black market.
