After a while, Lilith stopped. She sighed heavily, looking in the opposite direction from the destruction she had wrought.
"One more town, and you can't get enough," thought the water familiar she'd created. "You can see for yourself that Mistress doesn't have enough of that energy. She needs a source far greater than a couple thousand human souls," thought the other.
When she finished replenishing the familiars' energy, Lilith stood up and said:
I don't care what it takes. It's time to move on. With each letter she uttered, everything around her seemed to vibrate and change shape.
"So what is her goal, what does she want to achieve?" "Mistress doesn't let us into her thoughts, we can only guess. Better not even think about it, or she'll zero in on you."
Lilith had a great deal of power at her disposal, but she could not use it to solve her problems. Not yet.
