‘The Others’ is a series of digital collages, numerical paintings and augmented reality 3D compositions created between 2018 and 2022. The series is inspired by ‘The Origin of Others’ by Toni Morrison, as well as by multiverses and by the mass extinctions of species we are currently facing. The outline of each collage in the series is drawn after one of the last photographs of the last male White Rhinoceros taken before its extinction in March 2018 in Sudan. The digital collages can be scanned with the app ‘AR FVT’ to access the augmented reality components of each artwork.
