I've been photographing other people in this astronaut suit since 2017. I was always way too big to wear it myself- which would have come in handy thousands of times, especially while traveling and last-minute shooting.

I recently lost 105 pounds (and counting) since September 2023 and can finally fit in the suit. This is a self portrait I took in the suit. It's currently my favorite thing to do- it makes me feel great to get out and take these photos (as hard as it is to do by myself in this hot hot suit). It's proven to be cathartic and amazing for my self esteem, especially in a period in my life that has been really hard for me. These photos represent the first time I can genuinely say I'm starting to be comfortable in my own skin and proud of myself.
