This moment was photographed during my butterfly observation tours held between July 12–24, 2024 — a period when the alpine meadows of northeastern Turkey burst into life with a mosaic of endemic plants and pollinators. The Kaçkar range, part of the Pontic Alps, is considered one of the most biodiverse mountain regions in the country, hosting hundreds of butterfly species alongside rich floral communities shaped by millennia of geological and climatic history.
