Khonsu is the moon god of ancient Egypt. His name means "traveler" and this may refer to the moon's night journey across the sky. Khonsu was involved in creating new life for all living things. In Thebes he formed part of a triple family (the "collusion trio") with the death of his mother and father Amun. Khonshu is the Heliopolis god of the moon and vengeance, working through his servant Marc Spector, the vigilante known as Moon Knight!
