Description

The Flyby Project is an ongoing collection of deep dive Lunar images shot through a high powered telescope.

Each image shows regions of interest in the Lunar near side, such as mountain ranges, craters and other features, as well as spots related to human and robotic exploration like the Apollo landing sites. The collection will grow as new images are produced.

In order to capture the stunning detail of the Lunar surface, lighting conditions on the Moon must be just right, when shadows cast by mountains, craters and rock formations bring to life the stunning barren landscapes of our companion in space.
