Since September 2021, I've been living in the new home studio because my father was diagnosed with cancer and my family requires my care and support. Due to my duties, I have less time to create art, but I am surrounded by nature. Every day, I've trained my eyes to see the tiny world of the garden, as well as the breathtaking landscapes outside my front door. This art piece is the result of nearly 4 months of absorbing these environments into my heart and physical body. I'll consider it part of the grounding process. . It was the first time since graduating from Fine Art Faculty that I comprehend from my heart and my head what drawing means: it is the energy that flows through our bodies, but it is also the energy that connects us to other lives and the earth. . Many people use a technique known as "Grounding" when they need to recharge their energies. One of the many steps is to place your feet on the ground and imagine "roots" growing from your body and gradually connecting to Mother Earth. By doing so, you are transferring waste energy from your body to the earth, which is, of course, larger than you: it is analogous to dropping a small drop of black into the ocean. And then you get the better one instead. . It's me, the flower figure in the image's center. It's also me, the rooted head figures flitting through the air. In these four months, I've been stucking, seeding, growing, and blooming. It's mind-boggling. And I believe that these processes have given me a new perspective on life. And I hope you can feel some of these shatters through my art.
