Folk singer and activist Joan Baez speaking with Volma Overton, Sr., President of the Austin Chapter of the NAACP, during a Civil Rights Demonstration in front of the Austin, Texas Municipal Building (City Hall) in April, 1964. This was during the first of what became known as the "6 Days of Protest" in Austin. Also in attendance were my other city leaders, citizens and University of Texas students.
