I wanted to begin my new Summer collection with one of the most striking images I have created over the past ten years.

This image is unique. It belongs to that precise moment when the light, the horizon, the atmosphere, and the sun aligned only once. A fraction of time that could never have been anticipated, reconstructed, or reproduced.

The sun appears suspended above the ocean one last time, just before disappearing. Yet the image remains—outside of time. Timeless.

For more than twenty years, I have photographed what is destined to disappear: a face, a body, a light, a summer. Not to prevent time from passing, but to preserve something of what remains after it has gone.

Like a caress that lingers when everything else has faded.
