The total amount of gif frames represent the action layers in which the drawing is generated. The GIF stops after all layers are completed. Each frame is generated by an array of 4 drawing algorithms, where the main algorithm decides which one turns on and which one does not. Each drawing algorithm, if it is turned on, then decides how much action to produce. Paradoxically, a drawing algorithm can be turned on by the main algorithm and then it decides to produce just one imperceptible dot. For each artwork the main algorithm decides how many frames to generate. While the artwork is generating, you will see the actual job state: which layer number is generating and how many drawing algorithm are either on or off. When the artwork is fully generated this information will go away.

There are four layers, four different algorithms that in turn are randomly activated. But, importantly, even when it is activated it still remains the choice to draw or not to draw, and how. Each output shows, at the bottom, which layers are activated.
