Hypothesis - Ukraine is our Spanish Civil War

I mean this in the sense that where you stand now matters. And that I have no tolerance for those who excuse Russian actions because of ports or NATO. And that our actions once this is resolved will frame the next larger conflict. That 50 years of a lack of accountability for politicians and CEOs has to come to an end.

You have to pick a side. And this on the doorstep of major power politics. There is also suffering in Yemen, the plight of the Bush/Cheney refugees, the Rohingya, the criminalization of gay/trans/queer communities, bigotry. We have a lot to be angry about as we approach the date where our agricultural systems start to collapse. This whole northern hemisphere power politics growth at all costs approach is doing really well.

I picked my side on these issues a long time ago. But Ukraine can tip us into global war. Putin misjudged too many things here and it is not clear he has an easy plan to save face and exit this death ride to wherever death rides end up.
