This photo was taken in the southernmost region of Iran , Most of the people there are fish sellers and in many places in the sea these sticks can be seen, these sticks are used for fishing , Most do this for smaller fish because then the fish can be made into a local sauce that they use in bread called “ ragag “

I talked to a few fishermen and they are upset about the state of the sea because their fishing has decreased and the reason is that their government dumps municipal sewage into the sea and the tourists have filled the whole sea with garbage and plastic.
