Cape Coral is affectionately called "The Venice of Florida." There are more than 400 miles of canals in Cape Coral: more than any other city in the world. Most of the canals are navigable, and some have access to the Gulf of Mexico. This photo was taken from a boat on one such canal, during a wonderful family vacation full of boating and island hopping.
