Milford Sound (Piopiotahi) is located in Fiordland National Park. It features astonishing geological formations and was carved by glaciers during the ice ages. This pure and unspoilt paradise is also rich with Māori legends.

It’s an otherworldly experience when you visit Milford Sound. I wanted to capture this pristine and untouched feeling when I created this piece. I visited on a winters day when the air was cool and fresh. It was eerily quiet during this time as the NZ borders were shut. It was a surreal experience to have this paradise all to myself.
