When the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia started, the territorial defense of different towns in Ukraine lacked weapons. And so the production of Molotov cocktails (later named Bandera smoothies) began. We went to the car repair shops for processed oil, to the gas stations for fuel, to the alcohol factories and recycling stations for glass bottles and to all our neighbors for fabric and help. We organized the production process in our family's backyard and gathered all the community in the village.
Many people who joined us were our neighbors' relatives, who fled from the regions affected by war (mostly from Kiev). And for them it was a much needed time away from bad news and anxiety attacks, it was a big relief to work on something that would go directly to the places they are from.
We made up to 3000 bottles of Bandera smoothies that were mostly delivered to Kiev and Lviv territorial defense groups.
