Our body and mind are designed in such a way that memories are invariably linked with associations - smell, taste, tactile sensations, like accidentally opened doors to the past.
These associations give memories a special brightness. You have probably noticed how a suddenly caught aroma, which, it would seem, has long been erased from memory, suddenly causes a whole stream of emotions, reminding you of something distant, but deeply familiar. Or a melody, one that has been forgotten for years, suddenly makes you remember the events, emotions and even the atmosphere of that time.
At such moments, it is as if the rotation of the planet slows down, the heart stops and beautiful flowers of memories bloom in the soul. Memories do not disappear, but are stored deep inside, remain, even if we do not think about them and at the right moment they return - bright, alive.
And then the consciousness is filled with images, like a garden blooming after a long winter. Moments, like petals, envelop you in warmth and lightness, as if all this happened only yesterday.
