I have lived in the Czech Republic for six years. I come from a village near Uzhgorod. I left Ukraine because there are no jobs and we need to feed our children. My daughter came to see me six days ago, she managed to escape when it all started. My son studied in Ukraine, but has been here with me for two years. What is happening now is terrible for me. My sister lives in Sumy, right where the war continues right now. She and her daughter are locked in a bunker, they didn't have time to run and now they can't. I live in fear every day. I have my mother and brothers in Transcarpathia, the soldiers have not arrived yet, but we do not know how long there will be peace there. Mom doesn't want to leave. I wish it was over, it doesn't look like it is, but it'll be fine. I'm very proud of our president, everyone has always run away.
