For many years I’ve considered Christopher Langan’s Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU) as a pivot from which to examine the criticality of the self referential, to move away from the constant iterations of definition for sentiency. I also refuse to be bound the notions of God as anything more than a power / control dynamic of human construct. More importantly, if we consider our known universe as the basis for reality, then sentiency must also extend beyond our tiny blue blip of Earth to that of the unknown dimensions of the greater Multiverse.

Langan’s views certainly shook up my ideas of obscurantism, as did my Foucauldian discourse analysis of 50 engineers answers to questions in my research at the first promulgation of artificial intelligence with Marvin Minsky and co. Likewise, when I look back on my investigations of these multiverse notions or basis of sentiency through the lens of Heidegger, Hegel, Derrida, and Deleuze it all returns to what means we have to express our understandings of the multiverse through a creative medium.
