Why do we create anything if it is all doomed to vanish?

Humanity is but a fleeting moment in the universe, almost nothing. Everything we take pride in, everything we fight for, disappears as quickly as we do. We break, lose, betray and even our prayers are just echoes of futile hope. In this darkness, there is no comfort, only a reflection of our own weakness. And yet, it is here, in this understanding of insignificance, that a strange truth hides: we become aware of ourselves. Small and fragile, we continue to watch, act and feel, because that is all we are given.
