Practicing_Distancing_Serving is the first animation in the series Practicing Distancing in the time of COVID-19. In Serving my avatar is quite calm mixing drinks for guests just before the pandemic lockdown was announced.

Made for phones and social media, these short animations use stock gaming gestures on my 3D avatar to act out my frustrations during lockdown. Together they form a narrative where my avatar keeps up social engagement by serving drinks and shaking hands, then moves to more destructive behaviours such as flexing, slapping, and rumbling, and running at walls. In the end my avatar realizes that laying still and not trying to fix things is the best thing to do.
