He was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1935. Peter had to flee Germany with his family when he was only 6 years old. The only possible destination for Jews at that time was in the Shanghai ghetto. When Japan entered the war in 1941, they were confined to the poorest quarter. Overcrowded, with little food and deplorable sanitary conditions, they suffered for seven years. Once liberated, he arrived as an illegal immigrant in Argentina in 1948.
Testimony:
"We were in Hamburg until 1941 and the only way to escape at that altitude was via Russia, Siberia and Manchuria by train. It was 40 degrees below zero. We arrived in the Shanghai ghetto and stayed in precarious conditions for 7 years. We were lucky that the Chinese and Japanese were not anti-Semitic, but we were still herded into a ghetto.

About this project:
In the history of mankind there can be found no other crime so heinous, nor so coldly calculated, as the one that as that which annihilated millions of human beings in the Nazi concentration camps.
This project has allowed me to enter for a brief moment into the lives of an important group of these exiles and survivors, who arrived in Latin American lands many years ago to start a new life; and who have given me the honor of knowing a little about them and their experiences, as well as to photograph them and immortalize them through photography.
So far in minting this collection I have been able to portray 64 survivors:
20 from Venezuela 25 from Uruguay 19 from Argentina
The first part of the survivors that arrived in Venezuela were minted as 1/1 NFTs on the ETH blockchain. The second part of the survivors that arrived in Venezuela, the 25 survivors that arrived in Uruguay and those from Argentina will be available on the Tezos blockchain.
My intention with the sale of the NFTs is to self-finance the project to give it continuity. Soon I must travel to Chile where there are 13 survivors waiting to be portrayed and then keep moving around Latin America to continue with the project. Another of the main objectives is to finance the printing of a book that gathers all the portraits, biographies and testimonies of each survivor.
Collectors who have supported any of the collections by purchasing 1/1, one or several editions will appear on the project sponsors page inside the book.
