Wildlife abounds, but at the same time there is a sense of space left by man. Only thirty years ago, subsidized communism flourished there. And as if - those details, no one left in the technical area of unnecessary for the possible existence of man. It is difficult now to decide on the most precise definition, because this huge technogenic catastrophe occurred before the deconstruction of the USSR. There were also many other environmental disasters, such as the disappearance of the Aral Sea in Uzbekistan. Ecological tragedies were accompanied by a long plume throughout the Soviet Union. Something like that always happened in it, but the consequences, events, scales were hidden. The aforementioned disasters illustrated a series of events that lead to their beginning. Now there are those markings of detail that are important to convey to new generations. Pripyat is a city where at every turn one can still see the remnants of the struggle of the forces of nature and the power of human civilization. I think that people throughout their historical development created cities, and then, having reached the highest peak of development, they themselves destroy. The existence of such a phantom city - Pripyat. This assumption is demonstrated in my illustrations. This is something that always happens. The city was to become a model for all construction communism - now it is a picture of the collapse of impossible fantasies. And every detail of the ghost town is etched in my memory from the trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
