1.Mogor's Labyrinth
This labyrinth is located very close to the sea, on an elevation above Mogor beach, in the municipality of Marín, Galicia, Spain. Its elaboration has been dated by researchers between the years 3,000 and 2,000 B.C.
The Mogor Labyrinth is carved into the rock known by the locals as 'Pedra da Moura Encantada'. The 'mouros' are beings from Galician mythology. These are fairy beings who are guardians of treasures and secrets. There are both male 'mouros' and 'mouras', their female partners. The 'mouras' live underground or in watercourses. Galician culture associates petroglyphs with the dwellings of these beings, from where they come out to play with the walkers who pass through the place, especially on special dates of the year such as the solstices, to propose various challenges in order to gain access to their secret knowledge.
