Paper People evolved from an attempt to recreate hand-cut collage portraits with code into a generative series of cubist-inspired paper collaged figures.

The original handmade collages I made from sheets of drawn patterns, color washes, and cut paper shapes. This project carries that process into code, with each figure built from patterned and washed fragments that become faces, bodies, clothing, and strange little personalities.
