This was my first piece after the Pandemia showed up and the lockdown started. I had the fortune to work guiding and horseback riding in southern Patagonia, so being locked in my apartment was suffocating, to say the least. Painting became an easy way out of madness and ended up saving my life. It took me about 45 minutes to finish this portrait on its analog version, acrylic on canvas. It was a physical relief, like an instinct, a deep and compulsive need of conveying my feelings, of bringing out what was inside of my mind and body those days. The shadowy atmosphere around the whole piece, along with the saturated and bright color of the main portrait, are trying to evoque the intoxicating feeling of distress inside my anguished heart during the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemia.
