One of the spectacular highlights of the Ojude-Oba festival is horse riding. This is done by the horse-riding families who are led by the "Balogun". The Balogun are the descendants of ljebu war heroes. These men dress in their rich traditional attires while riding their adorned and dressed horses. Also, sporadic gunshots are used to announce their entry into the King's court.
