Jan Dirksen lived in Rotterdam in the 18th century and worked as a sailor for a great captain who was known as Klaas Fritz. He didn't like the job because he always felt sick on expeditions and trips because of the rocking of the boat, but he had no choice, it was the only job he could choose.
