I took this picture in the Cape Town Two Oceans Aquarium. The Jellyfish research lab of the Aquarium supported my project greatly. While I was trying to take the pictures of this jellyfish I was following its movements for hours before I finally pushed the shutter release. My friend Ksenia watched the movements of the jellyfish carefully too as she said "this is a lonely planet with a forest floating through the galaxy". I was super excited since I created the series for sparking and strengthening our imagination. We need imagination more then ever! Imagination creates our future! Without imagination there is no hope possible. Imagination is key for problem solving! Imagination is crucial in creating opportunities. Imagination is much more needed than reality. To to find solutions for the challenges of our time, like global warming, war's, pandemics... we need imagination!

The picture was taken on Polaroid55 film with a large format camera and developed in my darkroom.
