Murder of Leo Frame 1 of 25

The lion is a universal symbol of Sri Lanka and its people, representing their spirit and resilience. However, this is only symbolically true for the country since, throughout its history, cruel and misguided socio-political and cultural forces have corrupted the real soul of the people. The artwork, "Murder of Leo", takes inspiration from this cruel crushing of the soul of a strong nation and its people.

This audiovisual piece was created as a reactionary piece during the අරගලය (Aragalaya) — 2022 Sri Lankan Protests.
