Mourning For A Lost Cause is a long term project that highlights an Islamic holiday called Ashura, with a different angle.

Muslims from every walk of life, poured into streets to commemorate the day of Ashura, which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, the third Shiite Imam, and his companions.

All the photos have been taken with long exposure technique ( ND filter ) in streets of Zarand, Iran.
