Description

‎I wrote this poem while the wound of my breakup with my estranged lover, Miss Moropa, was still fresh and aching. I was sitting alone, replaying every mistake I made, thinking about how I lost a good girl because I was trying to live like a “fuck boy” instead of being a faithful, wholesome man. As I reflected on my regrets, the song “Mamas Don’t Let Your Sons Grow Up to Be Cowboys” by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings was playing on my YouTube Music. The song deeply inspired this piece — its message echoed in my heart and transformed into my own confession. ‎ ‎This poem is my personal accountability letter, my remorse poured into words. It captures my regret for chasing fleeting pleasures, neglecting real love, and becoming the very man I now warn against. Through this poem, I confront my immaturity, my lust, and the pain I caused, especially to a woman who deserved better. It is inspired by country music wisdom, heartbreak, and the painful realization that I sabotaged something genuine. ‎ ‎
