The old Russian Matryoshka figures reflect on the one hand a traditional cultural asset, on the other hand they symbolize for me personally, in the nesting of their figures, the veiling and hiding of "something that is in all of us". Something that is inside us and wants to step out of the narrow shell of our everyday personality. In the series METABEAST I will give this idea a form with the help of the machine /Pandoras Box and in consideration of the figures of the narratives of different cultural epochs.
