Reflecting on the pain that took me away, from all I knew, and all I loved. Realizing that those experiences made me who I am today, I realize I am grateful. This taught me compassion, and what actual empathy was. I created over those 14 years, beauty in a world that had only known pain. My mind was free the entire time.
