About the Title and Collection
Mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism. The circular designs symbolize the idea that life never ends and everything is connected. The mandala represents the universe and the spiritual journey of each of us.
Voduns, vodus or vudus (from Gbe vodún, "spirit") are the generic name, in Brazil, for the deities of the Jeje pantheon (ewe and fon, Gbe speakers) who, in the Americas, were partially syncretized with Yoruba orixás and Catholic saints.
In my understanding, the Mandalas and the Voduns have something in common, which is the spirituality and ancestry that accompanies each one of us.
"Mandalas de Vodum, Ancestral Roots" expresses my searches and spiritual experiences, where Vodum, Orixá, caboclos and encantados are all present, in my life and in my memories.
Each mandala is special and unique in its creation. The conception of each one has as its matrix the photograph of the Vudum/Orixá Gu/Ogum, made in the Abyéyé Ritual (a ritual where the new year is celebrated for the people of Tambor de Mina, an afro religious cult from Maranhão, spread in Diadema, São Paulo, Brazil).
Gu or Ogum, is the Vodum/Orixá of the metals, of war, of fire, of violent death, of blacksmiths and protector of the recently circumcised. Since he is the ruler of the metals of the earth, I chose the 10 most precious ones and baptized each piece with a name in his honor (find out the name of each metal, will you get it???). I hope that each person who buys one of these unique pieces will be blessed and have their paths opened and protected by Ogum. Ogum Nhê. Axé!

Sobre o Titulo e a Coleção
Mandala é um símbolo espiritual e ritual no hinduísmo e no budismo. Os desenhos circulares simbolizam a ideia de que a vida nunca acaba e tudo está conectado. A mandala representa o universo e a jornada espiritual de cada um de nós.
Voduns, vodus ou vudus (do gbe vodún, "espírito") são a designação genérica, no Brasil, das divindades do panteão jeje (ewe e fon, falantes da língua gbe) que, nas Américas, foram parcialmente sincretizados com orixás iorubás e santos católicos.
No meu entendimento, as Mandalas e os Voduns, tem algo em comum que é a espiritualidade e a ancestralidade que acompanha cada um de nós.
"Mandalas de Vodum, Raízes Ancestrais" expressa minhas buscas e vivências espirituais, onde Vodum, Orixá, caboclos e encantados estão todos presentes, em minha vida e em minhas memórias.
Cada mandala é especial e única na sua criação. A concepção de cada uma tem como matriz a fotografia do Vudum/Orixá Gu/Ogum, feita no Ritual Abyéyé (ritual onde o novo ano é celebrado para o povo do Tambor de Mina, culto afro religioso do Maranhão, difundido em Diadema, São Paulo, Brasil).
Gu ou Ogum, é o Vodum/Orixá dos metais, da guerra, do fogo, da morte violenta, dos ferreiros e protetor dos recentemente circuncidados. Sendo ele o regente dos metais da terra, escolhi os 10 mais preciosos e batizei cada peça com um nome em sua homenagem (descubra o nome de cada metal, você vai conseguir???). Espero que cada pessoa que compre uma dessas peças únicas seja abençoada e tenha os seus caminhos abertos e protegidos por Ogum. Ogum Nhê. Axé!
