Good things come in threes.

Last year, I visited a friend who lived near an iconic surf break, based near a small town on the West coast of New Zealand. The visits were brief, surfing all the while discussing how we could fund our travels and future ocean conservation projects. After my second trip there, I made a promise to myself that I would live next to this magical break at least once in this life.

Fast forward to 2022, circumstances have lined up allowing me to live out a dream I've been manifesting for a long time coming. In less than a month I'll strike lucky a third time, and this paradise will be my new backyard.

I took this photo after my first day surfing here - the last of the afternoon light cast a golden glow, with a lone silhouette snagging a gem after missing his first two opportunities. Good things really do come in threes.
