I drag my hallow body to the top of the dunes. Maybe the closer I am to the source, the better chance I have of hearing it speak to me. I am desperate, I have nothing left. I beg the source to send me a sign. "I am open, please speak through me. I am your humble messenger." But they are silent. I feel as if I may no longer be a vessel, but I must keep faith. I lie dormant, waiting until it's my time again.
