Description

March To The Beat Of One's Own Drum was written by Henry David Thoreau.

Henry David Thoreau's wrote in his 1854 work, Walden: "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away."

Meaning: To follow your own path and to live/behave as an individual, not to conform, to be unique.

The photograph of this beautiful lightning bolt prompted me to think of the above message by Thoreau. Just like our fingerprints are unique to each individual, each Lightning Bolt has a unique form and no two are alike. Some are more unusual than others as this one is.
