When chasing fog there usually comes a moment where you break through the low hanging clouds and back into the sunshine. If you're lucky, this moment can result in an incredible display of light beaming through the trees at the top of the mist and creating incredible rays. So naturally chasing these light rays became a part of chasing fog, especially on days when the fog wasn't quite flowing right. We could go down to the forest and try to find places where the light was coming at just the right angle and the fog was just thin enough to produce the goods. On some adventures, we would go out just to hunt for the rays, exploring local coastal spots that would have ocean haze capable of dimming the light in just the right way, or finding beauty on a smoky afternoon in the trees. These 40 images represent some of my luckiest and most relaxing photography moments, I hope you enjoy.
